Our front porch before...wood and showing wear--original to the 1920's cape cod built by a master carpenter who built six houses in the neighborhood. He built ours for his family.

Our original idea, hatched in the nineties, was just to add a big kitchen and family room maybe a second floor master bath to the back of the house (pictured above). As they say, "Timing is everything" and so we keep discovering to the good and sometimes to the bad. But the process continues with successes and surprises. With this blog, we can share some images with you, and experiences as they unfold.
